Colour Me Happy

Afends Bandcut Dress/ JET Jeans/ Friend of Mine boots/ Ray Ban Aviators

As the saying goes "those who wear black, lead colourful lives". I don't really understand why, when spring rolls around, so many brands and boutiques roll out the rainbow assortment of colours and tell us to embrace the season!

If your like me and the thought of colour makes you nauseous, you don't need to follow the spring trends of 'brights and colour' and deck yourself out so you look like a technicolour piƱata to feel those fresh spring vibes.

I clearly love black...surprise, surprise! I find that it goes with everything and if I need a wardrobe update, its easy for me to just add a new statement accessory or pair of heels/boots to pretty much anything in my wardrobe for an instant update.

In saying that, I am always on the lookout for different washes of black, so when I found this AFENDS Dress on one of my afternoons excessively scrolling through Surfstitch online, I pretty much had to have it.
The beauty of this baby is that it is first and foremost a dress (perfect for summer as well... just front tuck it into some low, slouchy shorts) or wear it as a long tee as I have here with my distressed jeans for a little bit of a 'rocker' vibe.
